2005 – Present

Resource Development, Pueblo of Pojoaque, Santa Fe Prepare all Tribal legislative & grant proposals for federal, state, and private/corporate funding (NM Legislature 2006 capital outlay infrastructure awards secured: $2.3m). Currently working on all Tribal programs including health, education, agriculture, energy, library, daycare, housing, water/sewer, roads, etc. (Proposed: $6.4m)

2005-Present

Principal, Community Development Consulting Services. Private consultant to local governments, institutions, nonprofits, private corporations and Los Alamos National Laboratory on community development, various economic development initiatives, plans and projects including public buildings, arenas, parks, health facilities, solid waste repositories, water pollution control programs and renewable energy (solar). $5 million in approved grants, loans, venture capital. Venture capital development.

1995 – 2005

Project Engineer /Project Manager, Taos County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC),

Directed the corporation’s business counseling and technical assistance program serving small business, institutions and local governments. Packaged $5 million in approved loans for local business in various industrial sectors including: agriculture, forestry, manufacturing, human services, telecom, construction, livestock, recreation, health, housing, etc. Managed TCEDC’s SBA, HHS & USDA-funded Programs designed to provide food manufacturing businesses with technical support for success in the food manufacturing sector.

1993 – 1995

Business Consultant. Small Business Development Center, Espanola, NM. Contract consultant to the SBDC as business counselor. Counseled 200 businesses, packaged $1,700,000 in approved loans to small business in Rio Arriba County. Under contract to the City of Española, wrote the Development Plan for the Johnny Roybal Industrial Park, approved by the City Council in 1996.

1991- 1993 Director, Santa Fe Small Business Development Program, Santa Fe, NM

Directed the City of Santa Fe Small Business Development Program. Initiated and managed the City’s $500,000 loan guarantee program for high-risk small businesses. Assembled a consortium of five local banks to make loans to small businesses with guarantees.
